These Terms govern your use of Chatrix (the "Service"), a multi-game Twitch chat companion browser extension and supporting backend. The current public version displays FACEIT CS2 rank badges in Twitch chat. Planned game integrations, including VALORANT, may add opt-in account linking and profile summaries after the relevant platform approvals. By installing the extension or using the API, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Chatrix reads Twitch usernames visible in chat on twitch.tv and queries our backend to display game-related badges where a supported integration allows it. The current public integration queries FACEIT for CS2 rank information. The planned VALORANT integration will require Riot Sign On and explicit opt-in before any VALORANT player data is shown publicly.
Chatrix is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by FACEIT, Twitch, Riot Games, or VALORANT. Those names are trademarks of their respective owners.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and you must comply with the terms of any third-party services you use through Chatrix, including Twitch, FACEIT, Riot Games, and VALORANT where applicable.
You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
Sign-in is optional. Anonymous use is supported with reduced functionality. If you sign in or link a third-party account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of that Twitch, FACEIT, or Riot account; we do not receive your passwords. Riot Sign On will be used only for the planned VALORANT integration after approval. You may sign out from the extension popup at any time, which clears your local authentication token. To delete your server-side account record, see the Privacy Policy, Section 7.
The Service is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future. VALORANT player data, Riot account linking, and public VALORANT visibility will not be sold as paid or exclusive-access features. If we introduce paid features for other parts of Chatrix, currently free features will remain available without charge to users who started using them before the change, on a best-effort basis. Pricing changes will be announced in advance.
Chatrix currently relies on Twitch and FACEIT APIs. The planned VALORANT integration will rely on Riot Games APIs after approval. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms:
If a third-party service changes or restricts its API, parts of Chatrix may stop working. We are not responsible for any such third-party changes.
"Twitch" is a trademark of Twitch Interactive, Inc. "FACEIT" is a trademark of FACEIT Limited. "Riot Games" and "VALORANT" are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc. Chatrix uses these names solely as descriptive references — for example, to indicate the source of a rank or profile summary shown in chat. We do not use Riot Games, VALORANT, Twitch, or FACEIT logos in our extension or on our website. Nothing in the Service implies any partnership, endorsement, sponsorship, approval, or affiliation with Twitch, FACEIT, Riot Games, or VALORANT.
FACEIT skill levels, ELO, win rates, K/D ratios, and match counts are sourced from FACEIT and may be inaccurate, outdated, or temporarily unavailable. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or freshness of any displayed data. For auto-resolved username mappings (used when no OAuth link exists), the displayed match between a Twitch username and a FACEIT account is a best-guess and may be wrong.
The planned VALORANT integration will show VALORANT profile or gameplay data only for users who link their Riot account through Riot Sign On and explicitly enable public visibility. Chatrix will not auto-match Twitch usernames to Riot accounts, will not show VALORANT stats for non-consenting users, will not provide scouting or opponent pre-match analysis, and will not create hidden MMR, ELO calculators, or unofficial ranking systems.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Use of the Service is at your sole risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the operator of Chatrix be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. The total aggregate liability of the operator for any direct damages will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, which, for the free tier, is zero.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of Chatrix from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. To delete your account, see the Privacy Policy, Section 7.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes that cannot be resolved by good-faith communication will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
